The up and down of the roller coaster used to be thrilling. Then you GROW up and realize how unnecessarily stressful those rides are. The aches and pains that arise afterwards. The coasters, literally, beat you down slowly. One by one, until you can't take anymore. It's time to leave the park. Time to "hit the road."
In comparison to the coaster ride, the ride home is just what you need. You are firmly planted to the ground. You feel secured and safe. You can sit back, relax, and truly enjoy life. The thrills of the roller coaster provide a good flash to the past, but everyday that "road" leads you, to present and future happiness. And compared to the coaster.. very little bumps and turmoil. Nothing worth stressing over. You have grown to realize those thrills are short lasting and the pains will always follow.
